| our application on 25th April 2008 with the attendance of YB Boo CH and seniors commrade | |||||||||
| Ahmad Ton , Gan Ah Leong and Gan Peck Cheng. | |||||||||
| Under the leadership of our pioneer chairman, Dr Tan Yu Siang and a team comprise of | |||||||||
| vast experience in management skills with high academic background,we aim to instill the necessary | |||||||||
| management skill to our members on the know how of conducting meeting , decision making and | |||||||||
| the all important ” teamwork “ | |||||||||
| For a start,we were excited and honoured to be given a chance to co-host a fund raising | |||||||||
| dinner organized by DAP Batu Pahat. The results is overwhelming and we manage to organize a record | |||||||||
| breaking dinner function ever organize by any political party in Batu Pahat with a full attendance of | |||||||||
| 213 tables. | |||||||||
| A part from the big event on 4th July 2008,we keep ourselves busy with some inhouse and | |||||||||
| outdoors activities,such as Dental Talk by Dr Tan YS , bread making demonstration and children | |||||||||
| coloring contest. | |||||||||
| We organised the “Moon Cake Festival” and “Christmas” party to bring our members and | |||||||||
| their family together for a festive season gathering. | |||||||||
| With the support extended to us,we mange to set up our own “BUKIT PERDANA | |||||||||
| RECREATION CLUB” with our karaoke session open to public every Tuesday,Thursday and Sunday. | |||||||||
| This is to provide a leisure time and place for the seniors citizen to know new friends. | |||||||||
| Though we are young but we have extend some concrete assistance to set-up a new branch | |||||||||
| namely DAP Taman Murni Branch last October. | |||||||||
| We kick off the 2009 with some charity work. Our objectives is to provide some financial aid | |||||||||
| to the poor family in terms of food stuffs during the Lunar New Year Festive season. | |||||||||
| With the support from donors,we managed to donate 8 family this year and we intended to extend | |||||||||
| this exercise during Hari Raya and Deepavali as well. | |||||||||
| Now that we have obtained the proper documents from ” ROS ” , our branch will start | |||||||||
| operation to serve the community every Wednesday and Friday. | |||||||||
| Lastly,our next big event of the year is to organise a fund raising dinner this coming | |||||||||
| 21st June 2009. We sincerely hope to get the same support extended to us last year. | |||||||||
